Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy has provided information to help guide you as the patient to a quick recovery. However, this is just a guide and we believe that seeking the help of fully trained medical professionals is the best way to approach management to injuries and getting you, the patient back to full health, sport, work or other desired activities. By booking an appointment with Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy, you agree that you have read and accept these terms.
Clothing to bring to appointment
Please come to your appointment with appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes / training shoes, shorts if a lower limb injury and a sports bra for females with upper limb injuries. If in doubt please ask prior to booking an appointment.
Consent
Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy conduct assessments and treatments through appropriately trained, qualified, fully insured and registered physiotherapists. However, with certain injuries, an element of undress may be necessary and should the need be required your therapist will explain this at the time. As a patient you are entitled to be escorted during your session should you desire. Furthermore, you should consult with your therapist should you be aware of any factors that affect your treatment or diagnosis. Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy will give our opinion and structure an individualised treatment. We take pride in providing our patients with the explanation of their diagnosis, procedures, treatments and any recommendations we have. Despite this, if you have any queries please do not hesitate to ask your therapist.
Payment Details
Cash payment is required unless you have private medical insurance. If you have one of the registered private health companies we offer please provide original documentation on the day of your appointment. Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy will provide a receipt if required.
Data Protection
Your medical records will be stored either electronically or through manually written notes and can only be accessed by authorised personnel. Despite this, it may be necessary to refer patient information on to other relevant health care professionals; we may wish to write to your General Practitioner or relevant specialist in regards to your condition. Please inform your therapist should you not wish to happen. Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy handles data in agreement with the Data Protection Act, 1988.
Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges apply to the full amount of your appointment should a patient fail to attend, if less than 48 hrs notice is given or if you are late for an appointment. We kindly ask that patients be 15 minutes early for their allotted appointment time.
Age
Glasgow Premier Physiotherapy has a strict policy that requires any patients under the age of 16 to be accompanied by a parent or suitable guardian to your appointment.
